Sunday, September 13th: Early Games

Andrew Luck

Indianapolis Colts @ Buffalo Bills

  • Indianapolis by 2.5 points
  • Over/Under: 45

Dorf

Colts and the over.

I don’t think the game will be close. Tyrod Taylor is not going to be good and the Bills will be in the running for the first overall pick.

Downtown

Colts and the over.

The Bills have a great young defense but I question their choice of Tyrod Taylor at quarterback. I don’t question Andrew Luck and the Colts.

Pudge

Colts and the over

The have a defense but no quarterback. Andrew Luck gets a quick start to the season.

Cleveland Browns @ New York Jets

  • New York by 3.5 points
  • Over/Under: 40

Dorf

Browns and the under.

This game is going to be a battle of bad and worse. The Browns will win it because their running game is slightly better, but not by much.

Downtown

Jets and the under.

The Browns run defense is going to be awful so start Chris Ivory in fantasy football and be prepared to see the Browns take a trip to Revis Island.

Pudge

Jets and the under.

Despite both teams being terrible, the Jets have better playmakers to squeeze out a win at home.

Carolina Panthers @ Jacksonville Jaguars

  • Carolina by 3 points.
  • Over/Under: 41.5

Dorf

Panthers and the under.

The Panthers will win in a bloodbath. Although the Panthers don’t have much of an outside threat for Cam Newton to throw to, they will just jam the ball down Jacksonville’s throat.

Downtown

Jaguars and the under.

I like what I’ve seen from Blake Bortles, especially with a healthy Allen Robinson in the red zone. Their run game won’t be useless like it was last year thanks to rookie T.J. Yeldon.

Pudge

Carolina and the under.

Even without Benjamin Cam Newton finds a way to make it work against a Jaguars defense with plenty of question marks.

Green Bay Packers @ Chicago Bears

  • Green Bay by 6.5 points
  • Over/Under: 49

Dorf

Packers and the Over.

There is a good chance that the Packers score 49 points by themselves. Chicago is that bad.

Downtown

Packers and the under.

Aaron Rodgers > Jay Cutler

Pudge

Packers and the over.

We’ll be seeing Jay Cutler face early in this one.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Houston Texans

  • Houston by 1 point
  • Over/Under: 40.5

Dorf

Chiefs and the over.

That’s a very challenging over/under to predict because neither team’s offense is scary but both feature damn good defenses. This game will be boring to the casual fan, but to us hardcore fans, we’ll get a lot of fun and excitement out of it.

Downtown

Texans and the under.

Both teams lack the offensive firepower to outscore each other so this will be about who has the better defense.

Pudge

Chiefs and the under.

This will be a low scoring affair between two very good defenses. I like what Kansas City has to offer more though on the offensive side of the ball which will propel them to an opening weekend road victory.

Miami Dolphins @ Washington Redskins

  • Miami by 3.5 points
  • Over/Under: 43

Dorf

Dolphins and the over.

How is Miami only a 3.5 point favorite? They are going to take the Redskins to pound town.

Downtown

Dolphins and the under.

I think the Redskins might get ran right over by the Dolphins. They’re a pretty solid team and should have an easy win, especially as 3.5 point favorites. No brainer.

Pudge

Dolphins and the under.

The Redskins were in trouble after week one of the preseason. I’m still not sold on Tannehill putting up huge numbers though.

Seattle Seahawks @ St. Louis Rams

  • Seattle by 4 points
  • Over/Under: 40.5

Dorf

Seahawks and the over.

I don’t think very highly of the Rams but the Seahawks won’t be as good as last year but will be good enough to beat the Rams on the road.

Downtown

Seahawks and the under.

Eeeeek this one is tough as I don’t see the Rams scoring a lot of points but I don’t see the Seahawks needing to score a lot of points either.

Pudge

Seahawks and the over.

The Rams are going to be improved but the Seahawks are still going to feature a high powered defense. Enough to nab a road win in St. Louis.
