The NBA fined Clippers guard Chris Paul $25K Saturday morning for his public criticism of female official Lauren Holtkamp. The comments came after the LA’s loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers Thursday night that saw the Clippers receive five technical fouls which followed with CP3 saying after the game that officiating ‘may not be for her (Holtkamp)”.

The NBARA which represents the officials in the Association replied to Paul’s comments later in the week displaying their full support for Holtkamp.

Holtkamp made her way up officiating in the NBA-D League last season before becoming a full-time NBA ref this year. She’s now the NBA’s third full-time female on-court official.
