MSU senior forward Draymond Green was selected for the 12-man U.S. team for the World University Games in China.
The games begin with pool play. The United States will play five games in six nights from August 13-18.
Quarterfinals are August 20, semifinals August 21, and finals August 22.
Other players selected include Minnesota’s Trevor Mbakwe and Detroit Mercy’s Ray McCallum.
Others on the 12-man roster are Tim Abromaitis (Notre Dame), Marcus Denmon (Missouri), Ashton Gibbs (Pittsburgh), JaMychal Green (Alabama), Scoop Jardine (Syracuse), John Jenkins (Vanderbilt), Orlando Johnson (California-Santa Barbara), Greg Mangano (Yale) and Darius Miller (Kentucky).
