More Tayshawn and Rip trade talk

When the Detroit Pistons acquired Tracy McGrady, it added to an already overcrowded situation at small forward and shooting guard. TNT analyst David Aldridge believes that this will eventually lead to the departure of Tayshawn Prince, Rip Hamilton or both players. Here is what he has to say…
A league source indicated Tuesday that the Pistons will work to “un-jam the log jam” the team now has at the shooting guard and small forward spots after signing the 31-year-old McGrady, who has been working out for several teams this summer looking for a home, including Chicago and Cleveland.
The source said that McGrady agreed without conditions to play behind starters Rip Hamilton and Tayshawn Prince next season, though it’s likely that Detroit will move either Hamilton or Prince before the start of next season. It’s more likely the Pistons will move Prince, who is entering the last year of his contract.
Furthermore, this all still seems really sketchy since another source that Aldridge mentions in his articles says that the Pistons will not trade Prince unless he requests it. Bottom line is we’ve heard this talk before but what’s different though is they have a player to make a replacement. Dumars also isn’t going to just give either player (Hamilton or Prince) away. He is going to make sure the right deal comes along then make his move.
