The MLB is back and not a moment too soon

MLB

MLB baseball fans are finally coming out of their off-season hibernation right about now since pitchers and catchers have reported to Spring Training in Florida and Arizona.  In a few days the rest of the Position players will be joining them.

The MLB is back and not a moment too soon.

As a baseball fan my entire life, seeing this time of the year when pitchers and catchers report to camp and a few days later the position players reminds me of Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is just pre-gaming for Christmas just like Spring Training is pre-gaming for the grind of the MLB regular season. Seeing the players practice and scrimmaging one another is like when you sit down at the dinner table for Thanksgiving and looking around the table at the good food but really don’t know what to expect from it all.

Opening day is just like Christmas. Being at the stadium and seeing the pitcher throw out the first pitch and feeling all the excitement is just like when your sitting in front of the Christmas tree and opening that first present you have been waiting for all year.

All the newly acquired players for each team will make this Spring Training one of the most exciting ones we have seen in years.

In Boston, they will be seeing David Price standing on their mound as a member of the Red Sox and Arizona Diamondbacks fans will be seeing Zack Greinke and Shelby MillerYoenis Cespedes will be in a New York Mets uniform for camp after he helped them to a World Series berth. Justin Upton in a Detroit Tigers uniform after his signing late in the off-season. I could go on for hours but I’ll hold off till.

Baseball fans should be really exiting for this year. There is tons of young talent taking over the game. We have seen it happen over the past few seasons in Washington, Los Angeles and Chicago. We defiantly are seeing the future of this game at its youngest.
