The American and National League announced their starting pitchers and lineups for tomorrow night’s mid summer’s classic from Target Field in Minneapolis.
Getting the start on the mound for the National League will be St. Louis’ Adam Wainwright who’s accumulated a 1.83 ERA and a sub 1.00 WHIP of 0.91. He’s also 12-4 on the year in 138.0 innings pitched. On the American League side of things John Farrell will go with Seattle’s Felix Hernandez who currently has an 11-2 record with a 2.12 ERA and 0.91 WHIP. Both starters have the lowest ERA’s in their respective leagues.
When it comes to the starting lineups, Derek Jeter who will retire at the end of the year will bat lead-off for the American League while reigning NL MVP Andrew McCutchen will lead off and play CF for the NL.
