Michigan’s Trey Burke may be the nations top PG

At this point in the year, it’s hard to believe that prior to the beginning of the season there was a battle for the starting point guard position for the Wolverines.

However since overwhelmingly winning the job, freshman Trey Burke has done so well in his first season he’s begun to garner Freshman of the Year buzz.

Through Thursday, Burke is averaging 13 points and 5 rebounds per game. What’s even more impressive though, especially for a freshman are his leadership capabilities on the floor.

When you put all those factors together, Jon Rothstein of CBSSports.com writes that there really isn’t a better point guard in the country.
