Michigan without a radio contract as football season nears

One of the nations biggest college athletic programs is still without a radio contract. The University of Michigan announced that they are still looking for a radio contract as the 2011 football season is right around the corner.

School spokesman Dave Ablauf confirmed this during the Big Ten media day in Chicago.

Michigan who was recently under contract with CBS Radio since 2006 however let that deal expire without a renewal.

Ablauf says that he expects the school to sign a new deal with a carrier within the week.
