It wasn’t the prettiest game in the world. It wasn’t well-played but it turned out to be a thrilling classic.
On the night that Michigan would open up the Big House to the September night of Ann Arbor, Michigan and on a night that Michigan would honor one of their legends in Desmond Howard the Wolverines pulled out an amazing 35-31 victory over rival Notre Dame.
Even though it wasn’t his best night Denard Robinson was able to lead the Wolverines down field in the fourth and connect a 16 yard fade pass with Roy Roundtree with 2 seconds left on the clock. This capped off an amazing 17 point comeback for the Wolverines giving head coach Brady Hoke and the Wolverines a 2-0 record.
