Welcome to the NCAA Tournament that at times Thursday afternoon looked like the Dream Team in the Olympics taking on Trinidad and Tobago.
Case in point, here we see the Spartans serve up two unnecessary alley-oop dunks on the 14th seeded Valpo midway through the first half. And unlike Bill Raftery and the rest of the Spartan heavy crowd, Verne Lundquist didn’t seem to appreciate MSU taking their Valparaiso opponents lightly.
Despite some sloppy play early, Michigan State seemingly sleep walked to a 35-18 lead into the half and eventually took out the Horizon League champs 65-54.
