Michigan halts efforts to recruit four-star CB after offensive tweets

Brady Hoke and the Michigan football program may have dodged a huge bullet that could have made the Darryl Stonum situation look like he was simply sleeping through class.

Word got out this week that the University of Michigan was pulling their scholarship offer from New Jersey four-star cornerback Yuri Wright after very offensive tweets surfaced on his Twitter page.

But a far more interesting, humorous and vulgar reason may be the true cause behind the move. Wright is a very active tweeter. And sometimes, it appears that he forgets (or does not care) that he has 1,600+ followers. As the screenshots on Chat Sports show (NSFW), Wright really went at it, posting a number of tweets that would make any prospective school queasy.

Furthermore, it was later reported that Wright’s prep school Don Bosco dismissed him from school after the tweets in question.

Below are the tweets that Wright posted (via Chat Sports). Please keep in mind they are very offensive and vulgar.
