What a night the Brewers organization had Tuesday night!
They were apart of the winning side of things after the National League defeated the American League, team slugger Prince Fielder hit the game winning home run then won was recognized as the game’s MVP, then they went out and got themselves a quality arm for the bullpen.
After last night’s game the Brewers acquired Mets closer Francisco Rodriguez in exchange for two players that will be named later. The Brewers also received cash in the deal to help with the remainder of Rodriguez’s $11.5 million salary for 2011. Rodriguez also has a $17.5 million option for next season that will vest if he finishes 55 games. He will receive a $3.5 million buyout if the option does not vest.
