Put Melania Trump on team LeBron after her husband took some shots at the Lakers star during some late night executive time at the White House.
Here’s what the First Lady said via her spokesperson (CNBC):
“It looks like LeBron James is working to do good things on behalf of our next generation and just as she always has, the First Lady encourages everyone to have an open dialogue about issues facing children today. As you know, Mrs. Trump has traveled the country and world talking to children about their well-being, healthy living, and the importance of responsible online behavior with her Be Best initiative. Her platform centers around visiting organizations, hospitals and schools, and she would be open to visiting the I Promise School in Akron.”
Melania’s comments come after Donald Trump implied that James was unintelligent after the NBA star who signed with the Lakers this offseason gave an interview with CNN’s Don Lemon earlier in the week. It was during that interview LeBron was giving a tour of his new ‘promise’ school in Akron and was asked about Trump’s policies and actions since taking office as President of the United States. LeBron responded by saying he believed the POTUS was “using sports to kinda divide people.”

Meanwhile, LeBron’s new non-profit school is really the epitome of giving back to your community.
The school will feature an focus on accelerated learning programs, provide job placement assistance to parents, on-site food banks, a bike and helmet to every student, free tuition to all graduates to Akron University plus much more.
Meanwhile, Trump University was closed down for Fraud and forced to pay $25 million in restitution.
