Megatron and the Lions comeback to beat the Cowboys 34-30

The Cardiac Cats were at it again!

For the second straight week of being 20 or more points down the Lions rally to beat the Dallas Cowboys 34-30 from Death Star in Arlington.

The Lions defense which once again looked terrible in the first half came through in the second with three interceptions of Cowboy QB Tony Romo. These interceptions included two that were returned for a touchdown by linebacker Bobby Carpenter and cornerback Chris Houston.

Calvin Johnson has continued to prove that he may be the best wide-out in the National Football League. Megatron finished the game with 8 receptions for 96 yards and 2 touchdowns, including the game winner late in the 4th quarter. Johnson has also matched an NFL record with 2 TD receptions in 4 straight games. The was last done by Cris Carter 1995 with the Minnesota Vikings.

Needless to say it’s going to be interesting what Carter has to say about Johnson this week after being pretty critical of him in weeks leading up to this.

Matthew Stafford was 21-of-43 for 240 yards, two touchdowns and an interception on the Lions’ first drive of the game.

The running game however continues to be a concern as it had only 63 total yards for the day.

Detroit has now outscored their opponents 92-20 in their first four games of the season.

The Lions are now 4-0 to start the season with their last loss coming at the hand of the Chicago Bears back on December 5th of 2010. Ironically enough the Lions meet those same Bears next Monday night from Ford Field.
