We’re not sure Mark Davis and his star pass rusher Maxx Crosby are on the same page when it comes to his future with the Raiders.
A few days after Davis said Las Vegas essentially wasn’t trading Crosby, the 27-year-old DE sounded a little more indifferent on the subject.
In the wake of the Davante Adams trade, Crosby was asked about a rebuild and whether the Raiders are currently undertaking one.
“I’m not here to rebuild, I’m here to win,” Crosby said via Pro Football Talk. “So, you know, I don’t know. Whatever that means, but yeah I’m here to win now. And wherever I’m gonna be, I’m gonna here to win. So that’s all that matters to me.”
The Raiders are most definitely entering a rebuild. Derek Carr is gone. Josh Jacobs is gone. Davante Adams is gone. Vegas will be breaking in a new QB next season and by the time the Raiders are in a position to win Crosby’s current contract will be up and he’ll be on the wrong side of 30. Crosby knows this and is probably the root of his all of a sudden one committed answers.
