CBSSports.com is reporting that the Michigan basketball team will play Memphis in the first round of the Maui Invitational on November 21. What could be interesting however is that if Michigan were to beat Memphis and if Duke were to beat Tennessee a rematch with Duke is lined up for the second round.
In the latest CBSSports.com preseason poll (via AnnArbor.com), Memphis is ranked eighth, Duke No. 6 and Michigan No. 25. Michigan was eliminated from the second round of last season’s NCAA tournament by Duke after defeating Tennessee 75-45 in the first round.
