Matthew Stafford not hurt but stranded in bridge collapse

Donald Trump

Heading out to Allen Park early almost proved to be disastrous for Matthew Stafford Friday morning. The Lions quarterback was one of many stranded motorists on the Southfield Freeway after garbage hauler hit a pedestrian bridge causing it to collapse around 6AM ET. Stafford (who eventually made it to to the Lions practice facility) wasn’t hurt in the incident but was one of the first vehicles at the scene to witness the debris over the freeway according to Dave Birkett of the Free Press.

The driver of the garbage hauler was apparently the only fatality with no other individuals were reported injured.

Lions players may want to end up avoided highways altogether. Last season, former wide-out Nate Burleson totaled his car and broke his arm while trying to save a falling pizza on 696. A bridge falling on your quarterback though may be the definition of Lions Luck.
