Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning made NFL history Thursday night throwing 7 touchdown passes (which tied an NFL record) en route to a 49-27 win over the defending Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens. And along with his record-tying night, Manning threw for 462 yards good for the second highest total in his illustrious NFL career.
Denver wide out Demaryius Thomas had five catches for 161 yards and 2 touchdowns as Manning also spread the ball out to his tight end Julius Thomas who accumulated 5 catches for 110 yards and 2 touchdowns. Newly acquired receiver in offeseason Wes Welker had 67 yards and 2 touchdowns becoming the first player in NFL history to catch a touchdown pass from both Tom Brady and Peyton Manning.
On the flip side, Joe Flacco threw for 362 yards, 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions while running back Ray Rice had 36 rushing yards, a touchdown and 8 catches for 35 yards.
