ESPN’s bracketologist Joe Lundardi has updated his NCAA Tournament bracket and for some fans here in the State of Michigan you might be a little surprised.

According to Lunardi, Michigan State and Oakland University made it in pretty comfortably with Oakland winning the Summit League and Michigan State winning two of their last three.

And yes, Michigan State made it is despite getting blown out by Purdue at the Breslin.

Lunardi has Michigan State as a 10 seed playing #7 George Mason in Chicago.

Oakland is listed as a 13th seed playing #4 Louisville in Denver.

Now, given their recent win over Minnesota and their very close loss to #12 Wisconsin Lunardi has Michigan playing a play-in-game against Baylor for the 12th seed in the Southeast. The winner of this play-in-game he has going up against #5 Georgetown.

Oakland I believe is the only sure thing. Michigan State and Michigan both still have some work to do, especially Michigan who has their overall strength of schedule working against them.

Again, despite their blow out loss to Purdue, Michigan State is still in OK shape as they look to finish out the rest of the season.

We are now looking at a pretty interesting match-up though between Michigan State and Michigan for the last game of the season.
