Ryan Broyles, whose had a history of injury problems notably in his knees was lost for the season when he ruptured his Achilles in yesterday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Lions head coach Jim Schwartz confirmed the news in his weekly press conference Monday afternoon from Allen Park. It was also announced that Broyles will undergo surgery on October 29th.
Luckily this season Matthew Stafford has saved Martin Mayhew some face from looking like a total idiot in terms of his second round draft pick history with the ability to get the ball to Joseph Fauria and Chris Durham.
Jahvid Best (went at the end of the first round in 2010, but the Lions gave up their second round pick to get him)
