The 5-11, 210-pound Winn (23) has already played for several NFL teams since being signed as an undrafted free agent by the Texans last year. Most of these stints however were on the practice squads of teams including the Raiders (October 2013), Steelers (October 2013-November 2013) and Cowboys (December 2013).
In college during his senior season Winn rushed for 1,334 yards and 13 touchdowns with the Cincinnati Bearcats. His pro career consists of 52 rushing yards and a TD in three preseason games with New England.
With the signing of Winn the Lions released rookie guard D.J. Morrell who was an undrafted free agent from Old Dominion.
