Lions release their 2011 pre-season schedule

Despite the current lockout and the uncertainty surrounding a 2011 NFL season, teams, including the Detroit Lions released their pre-season schedules today.

For the Lions, they open up at home against the Cincinnati Bengals and play host to the New England Patriots on August 27th for a nationally televised game on CBS.

Here is the full pre-season schedule…

Aug. 11-15 — Cincinnati, time TBA (WXYZ Ch. 7)

Aug. 18-22 — at Cleveland, time TBA (WXYZ Ch. 7)

Aug. 27 — New England, 8 p.m. (CBS)

Sept. 1-2 — at Buffalo, time TBA (WXYZ Ch. 7)
