In case you weren’t aware, Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell is extremely popular in the City of Detroit.
After leading the Lions to their first playoff win since the 90s and had the team a half away from the Super Bowl last season, Dan Campbell is more than likely getting some kind of statue in Detroit in the future and would probably poll pretty well if he ran for mayor.
Anyways, other teams in the City are looking to utilize that popularity, including the Red Wings who had Campbell narrate the season hype video ahead of last night’s regular season opener against the Penguins.
It’s definitely a cool video, and you gotta love teams in the City supporting and working with each other. It’s just too bad that intensity and success didn’t transcend to the ice last night, considering the Red Wings lost 6-3 to the Pens. Whatever, though it’s just one game, and there’s plenty of time for us to want to slam our heads against the wall when it comes to this hockey team.
