Lions destroy Tebow and the Broncos 45-10

Heading into Sunday’s game between the Broncos and Lions, the big stories were Tim Tebow leading the Broncos to a victory over the lowly Miami Dolphins in OT and the bad boys of the NFL in the Detroit Lions.

However the only story heading out of Sunday’s matchup that the Lions are going to care about is how good they looked as they embarrassed and destroyed Tim Tebow’s Broncos 45-10 from Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

Lions QB Matthew Stafford looked especially good as he completed 21-of-30 passes for 267 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. This all coming off an ankle injury and plenty of questions from Lions fans as to whether or not Matthew Stafford could bring this team to the next level.

On the other hand, after all the hype, Tim Tebow wasn’t as impressive. Tebow completed only 18-of-39 passes for 172 yards, one touchdown and one interception. That one interception came when Lions CB Chris Houston picked off Tebow in the end zone returning it for a 100 yard TD.

Now the Lions enter the bye week sitting at 6-2 for the first time since 2007 in which the Lions ended up losing seven of their last eight games to finish the season 7-9. However the Lions are also 4-0 on the road for the first time since 1956.

Now the Lions head into the bye week looking strong and focused on making a playoff run in the second half of the season.
