LeBron James and the Heat are now halfway to an NBA title and it doesn’t appear as though they’re letting this one get away… thus far.
James had 29 points and 14 rebounds as the Heat took a 2-1 series lead on the Oklahoma City Thunder with a 91-85 victory Sunday night from South Beach.
Dwyane Wade added 25 points, seven rebounds and seven assists while the Heat find themselves in the same position as last season when facing the Mavericks in the Finals.
Unlike last season though, James has been very strong in each of the first three games. His 3-pointer sent the Heat to the fourth quarter with the lead while his five consecutive points helped maintain that lead when the Thunder attempted a comeback.
Kevin Durant had 25 points but found himself in foul trouble in the third while Russell Westbrook finished with 19 points.
