Kobe Bryant responds to Dwight Howard Houston signing via Instagram

Kobe Bryant’s desperate and pretty pathetic attempts at wooing Dwight Howard back to Los Angeles failed Friday night as it was announced that Houston would be the landing spot for the somewhat sought after free agent big man.

Bryant, who throughout his career is pretty use to getting his way had to settle for Howard departing for the Rockets while he took to Instagram to find solace in his good buddy Pau Gasol who’d never turn his back on him.

Within the caption reads “#vamos #juntos #lakercorazon #vino.” which translates to Spanish as “we go, together, Laker heart, wine.” Essentially Kobe (Vino) is saying good riddance to Dwight Howard (as he should) and that what we have now goes together better than anything else. Cheesy yes I know which further adds to the evidence of just how pitiful the Lakers have become this offseason.

It may also be interesting to note (but not really) that Kobe has unfollowed Howard on Twitter… gasp!

Not that I’m saying the Lakers should have brought back Howard (or that Kobe Bryant should follow Dwight on Twitter)… quite the contrary. The Lakers have looked more like the Milwaukee Bucks this offseason rather than one of the most storied franchises in NBA history. No offense Bucks fans.
