As expected, New York Knicks president of basketball operations Phil Jackson fired head coach Mike Woodson and his entire staff Monday morning after a disappointing 37-45 finish to the season.
Jackson who stated it was “time for a change” after the team failed to make the playoffs. Woodson was able to really the team to a 15-6 record towards the end in attempt to keep their season alive however it wasn’t enough to keep his job.
In three season with New York Woodson finished with a 109-79 record.
