Kings forward Jordan Nolan will face a two-game suspension handed down by the NHL’s Department of Player Safety for a boarding hit on Red Wings forward Darren Helm Friday night.

Nolan was initially assessed a two-minute boarding penalty on the play but in turn also ignited a small brawl after Detroit defenseman Jonathan Ericsson took exception for the hit.
Darren Helm too didn’t suffer injury on the play as he engaged himself in he melee as well.
