JUSTICE SERVED: Jerry Sandusky found guilty on 45 of 48 charges

A jury has found former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky guilty on 45 of 48 child sex abuse charges.

The jury reached the guilty verdict in about 20 hours after a very short but gut wrenching trial in which 10 victims testified against Sandusky who never took the stand in his own defense.

Sandusky’s attorney Joseph Amendola never administered a strong defense even with the personality disorder excuse or with Sandusky’s wife Dottie taking the stand.

Aside from the guilty verdict the big news this past week was Sandusky’s adoptive son Matthew Sandusky coming forward saying that he too was a victim of Child Sex Abuse at the hands of Jerry Sandusky. The prosecution was prepared to have him take the stand however pulled back after the defense chose not to have Jerry Sandusky testify.

Sentencing for Jerry Sandusky will take place within the next 90 days but facing 45 felonies and a maximum sentence of 442 years in prison he will without a doubt live out the rest of his life in a prison cell.
