Jon Jones is champion once again.
More than two years after being stripped of the light heavyweight title after a hit-and-run incident Jones defeated champion Daniel Cormier via a third round TKO at UFC 214.

Jones originally vacated the title in late April of 2015 just prior to a scheduled bout against Anthony Johnson at UFC 187. Daniel Cormier, who lost to Jones at UFC 182 in January of 2015 went on to take his spot in the match beating Johnson for the belt.
The Jones and Cormier rematched seemed pretty even up until the middle of the third round and probably could have been judged either way up until that point.
However the biggest questions from here looming is whether Jon Jones is actually going to keep his nose clean after a number of out of the octagon incidents that have gotten him in trouble in the past? Likewise if something else were to occur how much more patience does Dana White have in his light heavyweight champion?
Also, will Jones’ win lead to Brock Lesnar making his return to MMA for what would be a huge showdown between two of the sports’ biggest names?
