Washington wide receiver John Ross did himself a huge favor at the NFL scouting combine this afternoon, despite coming up injured.
During his 40-yard dash attempt, the former Husky turned in a time of 4.22 breaking Chris Johnson‘s record of 4.24 set back in 2008.

The performance also caught the eye of the now former record holder…

What’s amazing is Ross got hurt during the process of the run which makes you wonder if he actually could have turned in a faster time if he didn’t come up limping in the end. You know… usually when you suffer an injury during a run it tends to slow you down.
John Ross tells me he is done for the day. Calves "pretty sore." How does he feel having left enormous mark on this Combine? "Thankful."

John Ross ran his 4.22 and shouldn’t do another thing for free for NFL teams.
