It’s been a chaotic World Cup thus far for Ghana and it continues to get worse.
First the team was embroiled in controversy when first-team players Sulley Muntari and Kevin-Prince Boateng were suspended indefinitely by the team. The negative press continued yesterday when it was learned that the Ghana players demanded their $3M dollars owed to them for the World Cup be immediately delivered to them in cash.
This prompted a picture of John Boye apparently kissing his stack of cash to go viral.

As well as the convoy to carry the cash making it’s way through the slums of Brazil.

On top of all of that though, in a game that they must win to have any hopes of moving on to the round of 16, Boye accidentaly puts the ball into his own net on a Portugal cross over to put the Black Stars down 1-0 at the half.
It seems like things can’t end soon enough…
