A productive and impressive offseason for Sammy Faustin has led to some major rewards for the junior defensive back.
Head coach Jim Harbaugh confirmed on “Michigan Football Weekly” with Jon Jansen that Faustin would move from second string safety to corner.
“Corners, there’s battles going on,” Harbaugh said. “Vince Gray – who’s starting. Who’s on the other side of Vince? You got Gemon Green — Sammy Faustin has moved from safety to corner. He’s doing a really nice job the last week since he’s been there. Also: I mentioned George Johnson and DJ Turner, Eamonn Dennis, Andre Seldon. All guys that are competing very strongly at the corner position.”
The former three-star recruit standing at 6-foot-2 and 190-pounds, Faustin was a prime target of Don Brown who eventually won him over after receiving nine other power-five offers.
