A productive and impressive offseason for Sammy Faustin has led to some major rewards for the junior defensive back.

Head coach Jim Harbaugh confirmed on โ€œMichigan Football Weeklyโ€ with Jon Jansen that Faustin would move from second string safety to corner.

โ€œCorners, thereโ€™s battles going on,โ€ Harbaugh said. โ€œVince Gray โ€“ whoโ€™s starting. Whoโ€™s on the other side of Vince? You got Gemon Green โ€” Sammy Faustin has moved from safety to corner. Heโ€™s doing a really nice job the last week since heโ€™s been there. Also: I mentioned George Johnson and DJ Turner, Eamonn Dennis, Andre Seldon. All guys that are competing very strongly at the corner position.โ€

The former three-star recruit standing at 6-foot-2 and 190-pounds, Faustin was a prime target of Don Brown who eventually won him over after receiving nine other power-five offers.
