ESPN’s Jeff Passan joined The Rich Eisen Show to discuss MLB free agency, including the ongoing stalemate between the Detroit Tigers and reigning AL Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal — who’s favored to claim the award for a second consecutive season.

But rather than merely speculating on possible trade destinations for Skubal, Passan suggested there may be a shared interest between the two sides that could eventually pave the way for a contract extension.

“Not Only would the Tigers like to re-sign Tarik Skubal, Tarik Skubal would like to stay in Detroit.”
