Tigers All-Star Javy Baez removed himself from tonight’s game after “not feeling right” during the sixth inning of tonight’s 2-1 victory for Detroit over the Rangers which snapped a season high six game losing streak for the club.

Luckily, it doesn’t seem like Javy was injured or under the weather but just having an off night.

“He came in the dugout and just said he didn’t feel right,” Tigers manager A.J. Hinch said after tonight’s win (via Chris McCosky of the Detroit News). “I asked him what was going on, and he kept saying he didn’t feel right. But he’s fine. He was the first in line for the high-five line after the game. It’s just something was off, and we got him out of the game.”

Prior to removing himself for Trey Sweeney, Javy was 0/2 with two strikeouts swinging at garbage. So it was probably for the best which is something Javy could recognize without any kind of ego getting in the way.
