Jason Day won the 2015 PGA Championship in record fashion Sunday afternoon.
The 27-year old Australian finished the final round of the year’s last major tournament at 20-under par. Day’s score is now the lowest recorded score at one of the season’s four major tournaments breaking Tiger Woods’ previous mark of 19-under at the 2000 British Open.

Day, whose undoubtedly one of the best golfers in the world now held off Jordan Spieth who had a pretty incredible day himself.
The reigning Masters and U.S. Open Champion finished three shots off the lead at 17-under capping off an unbelievable year for Spieth who’ll earn himself the No. 1 world ranking after today.
The day though belonged to Jason Day who not only made history but secured his first major tournament win of his career. And despite no Tiger Woods again, no Rory or Phil I think you can say with some degree of confidence that the future of exciting golf is here to stay.
