According to USA Today’s Sam Amick, Jason Collins is close to signing a deal with the Brooklyn Nets which would make him the first active NBA player to have already announced that he’s gay.
Glen Davis has moved close to committing to the Clippers, clearing way for Nets to sign Jason Collins, league sources tell Yahoo.

Collins, 34 who first became open to the public about his sexuality back in April will reportedly sign a 10-day contract with the Nets right before their Sunday night game against the Lakers. If Collins takes the floor, yet another barrier in professional sports will be broken.
