Detroit

Lions running back Jamaal Williams got fined more for doing a hip thrust during his touchdown celebration last weekend than Packers linebacker Quay Walker did for shoving Detroit’s athletic trainer who was trying to get get in to check on D’Andre Swift.

You seriously can’t make this shit up…

Apparently, the NFL was getting at Williams as being a “repeat offender” given he was handed down a fine for essentially the same infraction back in Week 3 when he was fined $13,315.25.

Then again, Walker is also a repeat offender considering he was ejected from a game during Week 8 when he shoved a Bills practice squad player on the sidelines.

Moreover, Packers defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt wasn’t even flagged and didn’t receive a fine at all despite chest bumping the same Lions trainer in the same sequence that Walker was ejected over. Keep in mind, this all came that same week that an athletic trainer saved the life of Bills safety Demar Hamlin when he went into cardiac arrest during a Monday night game against the Bengals.

Walker in the end apologized and even reached out to the Lions trainer so any ill will towards him should end there.

The NFL though continues to enforce ass backward policies that make zero sense. Then again though this is the same league that essentially blacklisted Colin Kaepernick for standing up for civil rights while Deshaun Watson still has a job in the NFL.
