According to Matt Snyder of Fanhouse.com via the Detroit Free Press the Michigan secondary has suffered a big blow. In what was initially reported as a “lower body injury” it is now being said that senior cornerback Troy Wolfolk has suffered a dislocated ankle. This is according to his father.
Surgery appears to be a definite possibility but Wolfolk will have to wait until the swelling to go down before doctors can make that determination.
Snyder mentions that more details will emerge within coming days but one can expect that Wolfolk could miss a third if not the entire season.
Obviously this is devastating to not only Wolfolk, who is said to be “emotionally devastated, but a secondary and defense that is just not that good and not deep to begin with.
With Head Coach Rich Rodriguez already on a short leash you would have to think this could drastically change the amount of success Michigan has on the field this upcoming season.
