Greg Johnson of the Grand Rapids Press reports that top MSU Football recruit Lawrence Thomas hurt his shoulder in practice three days ago and will miss about a week. Meanwhile returning starting cornerback Johnny Adams turned an ankle and is expected to miss a few days.
According to Johnson, Thomas was a little freaked when he first suffered the injury since he was never really injured while playing in high school.
“I thought it was bad at first, but it’s just a little sprain,” Thomas said. “I’ll be back soon.”
On the other side of things, cornerback Johnny Adams continues to play well in practice and head coach Mark Dantonio didn’t seem to concerned with him missing a few days.
“It’s an ankle, and he will be fine,” Dantonio said. “He’s continued to play at a high level.”
Johnson adds that highly touted freshman wide receiver Juwan Caesar arrived to camp with an undisclosed injury and has not practiced yet.
