Michigan head coach Brady Hoke announced Thursday afternoon that there will be no change in the status of senior receiver Darryl Stonum.
Stonum was given a redshirt at the beginning of the season after he was charged last year with his second drunken driving arrest. He was ticketed Thursday morning after driving with a revoked license shortly after meeting with his probation officer.
According to AnnArbor.com, court records are also indicating that Stonum lied about how he got to his appointment saying a female dropped him off.
Despite Hoke saying Stonumβs status with the team will not change, there is still a chance the head coach can change his mind later on down the roadβ¦
βUntil we know everything, it hasnβt changed,β Hoke said today at a previously scheduled season wrap-up news conference.
When asked if he was concerned about Stonumβs decision-making, Hoke simply replied, βNo.β
Stonumβs next hearing is Friday morning in which case he could face a probation violation and jail time.
