The Pistons made the most of their final two games of the season after doing their very best to choke away the year in their four matchups prior.

Luke Kennard looked like a man possessed at times with 27 points, Reggie Jackson had 21 and Andre Drummond added 20 points and 18 rebounds as Detroit claimed the last playoff spot in the East with a 115-89 win over the Knicks from MSG.

Having never trailed throughout the game, the Pistons led by as much as 40 at one point taking a 109-69 lead after a Zaza Pachulia lay-in with 4:31 left in regulation.

All this coming too without Blake Griffin who was held out while he continues to deal with left knee issues.

The Difference

The Pistons dominated in offensive and defensive boards 56-33 while completely shutting down New York’s starting five to just 31 points the entire game.

Three of the five Pistons starters scored in double figures while Luke Kennard tore up the Knicks’ defensive coming off the bench.

The Playoffs

The Pistons now will take on the top seeded Milwaukee Bucks in round one beginning Sunday night in Milwaukee.
