Hannah Storm and Cris Carter offer up emotional responses to the state of the NFL

Amid the biggest off the field crisis the NFL has seen maybe ever Hannah Storm and Cris Carter took to the ESPN airwaves for the first Sunday since the new Ray Rice video was released and Adrian Peterson was arrested for neglect and injury to a child.

First, Storm addressed the Rice situation at the end of SportCenter and how she would talk to her daughters about it.

Then during Sunday morning’s NFL Countdown Cris Carter in an equally emotional statement went off on on the Adrian Peterson situation looking back on the way his mom raised him and his six other siblings. Pretty powerful.

“This is the 21st century. My mom was wrong… And I promise my kids I won’t teach that mess to them,” Carter said. “You can’t beat a kid to make them do what you want them to do.”

For all the criticism ESPN takes for their vanilla coverage, you really have to hand it to them when it comes to the Ray Rice and now Adrian Peterson situations. Instead of taking a neutral role ESPN analysts whether it’s Adam Schefter, Hannah Storm or Cris Carter have blasted Roger Goodell and the rest of the League for their response or lack there of with Rice and Peterson.

Then you still get these moronic apologist still offering up blind support.
