A group of Cleveland Browns players including Jamie CollinsDuke JohnsonKenny BrittJabrill Peppers, and Seth DeValve took a knee prior to their Monday Night game against the New York Giants.

So far, it’s been the largest demonstration among players in the NFL during the National Anthem. According to Daryl Ruiter of CBS Cleveland, 10 total players took part including rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer who didn’t actually take a knee but instead stood near the group assuming to show his support.

Browns head coach Hue Jackson originally made mention that it was his preference players do not take part in the ongoing protest. He however clarified his comments saying he wasn’t against such demonstration.

“There are many effective ways athletes can utilize their platform if they so desire, but I would respect any individual decision as ultimately it would be the player’s choice after much thoughtful dialogue.”

As Colin Kaepernick continues to go unsigned in the NFL, players in the League seemingly continue to rally around the former 49ers quarterback who many believe is being “blackballed” by the owners.

And after garnering some interest from teams like the Ravens and Dolphins, interest in Kaepernick has run thin once again.
