Tiger Woods announced Thursday that he’s added another date to his 2018 schedule as Ryan Lavner reports that the former Champion will play at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines in January.
Just confirmed with Farmers Insurance Open tournament director Peter Ripa:
Tiger has committed to play at Torrey Pines.
— Ryan Lavner (@RyanLavnerGC) January 4, 2018
This news comes after Woods back in mid December also confirmed that he’d participate in February’s Genesis Open per a Golfweek report.
As far as Torrey Pines goes, Woods kick starts that 2018 schedule with a course he’s won on eight separate occasions. This includes the U.S. Open in 2008 and the Farmers Insurance Open back in 2013 which stands as the last PGA Tournament he’s won.
In any sense the golf world has to be rejoicing at the news that the most intriguing golfer in the World is adding rather than pulling out of dates in the new year. Despite his lack of success, golf is still better with Tiger Woods no matter how much he might suck nowadays.
