North Carolina is heading to their second consecutive NCAA Tournament Final hanging on to beat Oregon 77-76 in second leg of tonight’s Final Four.
UNC’s Kennedy Meeks led all scorers with 25 points and 14 rebounds while Justin Jackson added 22 points to the score sheet.
Tyler Dorsey had 21 points with Dylan Ennis following him up with 18.
However in the end it all came down to not who could make their free throws but which team pound the glass on missed opportunities from the line.
In the final six seconds and up by a point, the Tar Heels missed four free-throw attempts which would normally spell doom for any team up by a single possession. However North Carolina proved to not just be any team securing two straight rebounds after the missed shots to eventually run out the clock and secure the win.

And it’s not like UNC dominated the glass tonight. In fact until those final two misses North Carolina trailed the Ducks in total rebounds on the night 42-40.
Now the Tar Heels will look to avenge last year’s loss to Villanova by taking on Gonzaga Monday night for the National Title.
