Friday night the Baltimore Orioles defeated the Texas Rangers 5-1 winning the inaugural AL Wild Card game and earning the right to move onto the ALDS to take on the Yankees.
Before the final out though was recorded, ESPN and the Bleacher Report jumped the gun so to speak and reported the final score via their iPhone apps.

Now despite the Orioles still winning the game, these updates came before the Rangers were able to load the bases in the 9th with two outs. I’m also sure we can all remember what happened during last year’s World Series when the Rangers had the Cardinals down to their final out in Game 6.
