With their 20-19 thrilling road win against Purdue on Saturday and Michigan State‘s 16-13 loss to Arizona State late Saturday night, Eastern Michigan became the only FBS team in the State of Michigan to carry a 2-0 record heading into week three of college football action across the country.
Sure it’s only two weeks but lets not scoff what EMU was able to do on the road against a Big Ten opponent this past weekend. It’s tough enough for a Big Ten team to take to the road against a conference opponent let alone a mid-major like the Eagles. Nonetheless Saturday’s win over the Boilermakers marks the second straight season the Green and White out of Ypsilanti have scored a win against a B1G opponent.
Bottom line, I think it’s safe to say head coach Chris Creighton has this team on the right track.
