Thursday the Carolina Hurricanes traded forward Jeff Skinner to the Buffalo Sabres for forward Cliff Pu as well as three draft picks (a second in next year’s draft, and a 3rd/6th in 2020).
Anyways, EA Sports took aim at the trade with this savage takedown of the Hurricanes that probably dropped them to tropical depression level.

Sure Skinner (26) was set to become an unrestricted free agent next offseason and was a defensive liability (minus-27 in 2017-18) but you’d expect that the Hurricanes could net a little more than what they did considering Skinner also scored 24 goals last season and is still pretty productive on the offensive state sheet.
Clearly Carolina couldn’t ship Skinner out of town quicker.
