In a night for the history books, the Alabama Crimson Tide are the 2011 BCS National Champions after 21-0 victory over #1 LSU.
Now despite both LSU and Alabama both having one loss on the season and with both of those loses coming against each other, the AP voters should have no trouble voting the Tide as the number one team in the country.
This win was as conclusive as you can get.
Alabama held LSU to just 92 total yards while the Tide held Hilliard, Ware and Ford to 28 yards combined on 12 carries.
A.J. McCarron completed 23 of 34 and managed to avoid the turnovers. Trent Richardson had 22 touches for 107 yards and a late touchdown which sealed the deal for Alabama.
The big question though at the end of this game was why did Les Miles leave a struggling Jordan Jefferson in the game? Jefferson was 11 for 17 but only threw for 53 yards, zero touchdowns and one interception.
